Section 125 POP documents
A Section 125 Premium Only Plan (POP) is a written cafeteria plan that lets employees pay their share of eligible insured premiums with pre-tax pay.
What you receive
A POP Package is planned to include an adoption agreement, the plan document, a Company Action for your type of entity, an Employee Summary, an election and waiver form, and Employer instructions. The final list is pending counsel approval.
The Employee Summary is written in plain English for your employees.
Who it suits
Small private employers, for-profit or nonprofit, whose employees pay part of their insured premiums through payroll.
What we decline
- Government and church employers.
- Groups of related or affiliated companies.
- Businesses where only the owners would take part.
- New plans with a start date in the past.
- Changes to plans we did not prepare.
